Our ministry to children seeks to encourage and support parents as they raise their sons and daughters in the ‘fear and admonition of the Lord’ (Ephesians 6:4).
Since "sons are a heritage from the Lord, children a reward from him" (Ps. 127:3) the children’s ministry is one of important focus. Jesus himself cherished children and blessed them, saying, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these" (Mt 19:14). We consider serving and praying for the next generation a considerable joy.
The parents of the church are primarily responsible, under God, to bring up their children in the training and instruction of the Lord. It is our role here at HFFBC to support and encourage the ministry of the parents by faithfully teaching God's Word and modeling genuine Christianity for the children in our care. It is our hope and prayer that, by God's grace, throughout the years, all the children in our trust "will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of His splendor" (Isa 61:3).

We must take seriously our children’s safety. Please know that every children’s worker and servant has willfully submitted themselves to the accountability of our child protection policy. For helpful information for teachers, caregivers, and parents about the policies we have in place to promote a safe and healthy environment for our children to learn, please read the policy.
Child Protection Policy
Nursery childcare is provided for children from birth through age 2, during all regular services of the church in a safe and fun environment. Our nursery’s purpose is to provide this safe, loving, and nurturing environment any time the nursery is advertised, so that parents may participate in the ministries of the church without concern for the well-being of their children.
Preschool Program Ages 2-5
The goal of our Sunday morning preschool program is to assist families in the lofty task of acquainting children with the God of the universe and Jesus Christ, His Son and our Savior.
Preschool - 5th Grade Sunday School - 9:15 - 10:15 a.m.
As teachers model the love of God through words and actions, they demonstrate to the children that God is love and that He loves them with an everlasting love. Through hearing Old and New Testament Bible stories, singing Bible songs, memorizing Scripture, praying, and completing activity pages, children will grow in their knowledge of God and how to live in obedience to Him. As teachers reinforce the lesson, children will have many opportunities to apply Bible truths in their social interactions.
When teachers present Jesus, using the Word of God, their actions and memorable activities, a foundation is laid for a child to receive Christ as Savior.
