Young Bereans: Mid-Week Ministry
Wednesdays 6:45-8:00 pm
Location: Lower Level 3
"As soon as it was night, the believers sent Paul and Silas away to Berea. On arriving there, they went to the Jewish synagogue. Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true. As a result, many of them believed, as did a number of prominent Greek women and many Greek men." Acts 17:10-12
The Wednesday night meeting includes a kid friendly, God focused worship time and service workshops that coordinate around a specific curriculum that is taught throughout the year. In addition to the curriculum, volunteers from our congregation lead the workshops in teaching the kids how to identify and find books of the Bible and how to search for Scripture verses, and most importantly memorize Scripture verses. This year's memory verses are from Romans 5:1-11. As in previous years, we have a season ending party in late May or early June to celebrate all that God has taught us.
For 2015-2016 we will be starting a brand new series "in the Beginning....Jesus" This series combs thru both the Old and New Testaments to find evidence of Jesus. The kids will act like detectives looking at clues found throughtout scripture to answer the 5 W's: Who, What, When, Where and Why.
Deuteronomy 6:6-7 "These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impresss them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up."
Come and be a part of the fun and learning that takes place!
