Class offerings:

  1. Sourdough: What You Knead to Know

Sourdough baking has become a bit of a national obsession over the past few years — but for many of us, it can feel intimidating. Maybe you’ve tried before and ended up with a flat loaf, a confusing recipe, or more questions than answers. Join a few ladies who stuck with it, learned the tricks, and now bake sourdough every week. This workshop is built around your questions.

  1. The Heart of Mentoring

Being mentored and serving as a mentor can be such a blessing in your life — but how do you begin a relationship like this? How long should it last? Is it formal or informal? Do you use a curriculum, or simply talk through life together? Join us for a panel of women who have both mentored others and been mentored themselves. This workshop will be shaped by the questions you submit.

  1. Book Talk

This workshop will explore how to choose books for multiple ages and stages of life. What you read is very personal to you, but there are strategies to help you find books that will match your interests. We will discuss how to select books for when you have very little time, read-alouds, matching subject matter and reading levels for children, setting up your own book club, and just generally how to find books that you will enjoy.

  1. Relational Reconciliation

Relationships are tough. "We all stumble in many ways," says James. The question is, how does Jesus make a difference in the way we respond to the relationships in our life that are broken, strained, or even dangerous? In this workshop we will explore how our Good Shepherd leads us into restoration, reconciliation, and peace with all people as far as it depends on us.

  1. Come on In: Practicing Hospitality

Does the word "hospitality" scare you or make you sweat? Let's discover together simple tips to embrace joyful hosting, and how to create meaningful connections with your guests. When you open your home, no matter how simple or humble your home is, you are creating a space where others feel loved, valued and at ease. We will talk about how to have fun inviting others into your home.

  1. Called to Caregiving

When the Lord says, “I call you,” this workshop offers practical tips and spiritual truths to help you avoid the landmines of caregiving. If you are currently caring for a loved one or anticipate doing so in the near future, this workshop is for you.

  1. Healthy Living

"She dresses herself with strength and makes her arms strong." Proverbs 31:17 Being good stewards of our bodies is a biblical principle that really does matter. Come and explore concepts related to health, nutrition and physical fitness. Let us encourage one another towards physical disciplines and gain some practical understanding of how to be good stewards of our bodies, that we may fulfill our duties as women of God. "So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all to the glory of God." 1 Corinthians 10:31

  1. Studying the Bible

Knowing the word of God, to know the God of the word! Learn the enjoyment of a fruitful meeting time with the Lord as you seek to understand His word, ‘rightfully dividing the word of truth’. {2 Timothy 2:15} This is done by simple fundamental tools: approach, method and the means that are available for us, as women to be ‘teachers of good things’ {Titus 2:3} To know the Lord is to delight in Him as He reveals Himself: ‘Your testimonies also are my delight and my counselors.’ {Psalm 119:24}
